About the role

Provides technical pre-sales support to enterprise sales teams by translating customer requirements into feasible, cost-effective telecom and ICT solutions. The role involves conducting technical evaluations, feasibility studies, and solution costing; supporting opportunity development and pipeline growth; and delivering technical presentations and consultancy to corporate customers. Working closely with Sales, Product Managers, and Engineering teams, the consultant helps design scalable, reliable, and secure network solutions, maintains customer technical profiles, and stays current with emerging technologies to drive competitive, timely, and customer-aligned offerings.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assists in planning, developing, and managing implementation strategies that gain competitive advantage by providing timely and accurate solutions and opportunity pipelines with reference to PLDT mainstream, wireless products, and applicable ICT/Digital solutions for customers.
  • Acts as a technical resource person for the assigned Sales units in determining the technical requirements of corporate customers and PLDT Subsidiary and Affiliates, aiming to provide applicable mainstream, wireless, and ICT/Digital solutions.
  • Provides technical pre-sales support and strengthens accountability to the assigned sales unit in generating sales opportunities, focusing on the technical requirements of the customer.
  • Provides technical feasibility studies and costing of project proposals under the opportunity stage to develop customized solutions or product variants that address customer requirements.
  • Updates corporate customers’ technical profile/account maps to proactively assess and forecast potential business opportunity, service upgrades and product upsell.
  • Conducts technical evaluation of customer terminal equipment (i.e. PABX, KTS, etc.) and its appropriateness before offering to customers in terms of compatibility, efficiency and effectiveness relative to customer requirements.
  • Attends Major Requisition and Screening Body and justifies various technical options to provide the most cost-effective and feasible technical solutions.
  • Attends trainings and seminars on new technologies and products to stay abreast of technology developments.
  • Conducts technical sales presentation and seminars to corporate customers on various PLDT products and services, influencing technical contacts in their evaluation of solutions.
  • Provides telecom consultancy to corporate customer to identify technical solution for specific technical requirements or potential critical issues that might affect their network.
  • Supports and complements business development teams in integrating business processes, guidelines and technologies to develop new products and services customized to address specific market demands.
  • Establishes relationships with Corporate Customer’s Technical SPOCs and conducts market investigations, opportunity research, and updates customers’ technical profiles.
  • Works collaboratively with PLDT’s Product Managers, RMs and Engineering group in delivering product offerings to clients and technology solutions, emphasizing immediately available facilities and possible expansions to help in the fast and timely deployment of services to corporate customers.
  • Analyzes the capabilities of applications already in the customer environment, conducts research and develops ICT solutions with considerations for scalability, reliability, availability, & security and provides a technology roadmap.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Electronics and Communication Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or its equivalent/related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • With exposure in Local Area/Wide Area Networking, data/voice communications both wired and wireless or in any related field.
  • Pre-sales technical consultancy.

Skills Required:

  • Understanding of various applications that reside on a corporate network.
  • Knowledge in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of local and wide area networks for enterprise organizations is an advantage.
  • With outstanding business leadership qualities.
